Well, I'm still in VM-mode. Still smarting from the bad decisions and lazy writing of the last season.

But since the creator chose to be lazy and trope-ish, so will I. Lazy, because I'll simply rewrite the season, because I feel like it and want to get rid of the bad aftertaste and trope-ish, because I'll use the soap opera trope numero uno to reset the whole thing.
It's an AU, alternative dimension, alternative timeline sort of deal...Or what Veronica Mars Season 4 could've been.

The first chapter of Still Going Epic is up and I feel rather good about it.

I was among many who were happy when it was announced Veronica Mars was getting a revival, I was among many who were impatiently waiting for July 26, 2019, and I was among many who were pleasantly surprised when Hulu decided to drop the entire 8-episode season 4 a week early.

I watched it over the weekend, rather enjoyed it, then puzzled over the ending.

Then I re-watched it (complete with the ending, which I swore never to do), and realized something.

FANFICTION UPDATE: 21 July 2019

I know it's been a while (more than six months, really), but I just wasn't feeling it. Actually, I was going through a period of being obsessed with a Turkish drama series for a couple of months, but later I just wasn't feeling it.

I felt it today. Well, yesterday, to be exact, but let's not split hairs.

Hulu dropped the fourth season of Veronica Mars a week early, then I did the bad thing of reading the spoiler for the ending before I even watched the show, then the show itself delivered a few well-aimed kicks in the teeth and stabs in the gut, which meant me bawling my eyes out because Logan and Veronica were so perfect together and I knew what was coming...

Don't get me wrong. I loved the new season. I'm partial to longer story arcs and the one about the crazed bomber terrorizing Neptune hit all the right notes. And my shipper heart (so sue me, I'm a romantic at heart) was elated at all the LoVe coming through...And then the ending hit and I'm with the majority of shippers saying the last 10 minutes don't exist for me, but because they're there, I decided to write a fix-it. Because what we got was a kick in the teeth. And a knife to the gut.

So here it is, with the title of Always, because I couldn't resist.
