To switch it up, I decided to dip my toes into movie fanfiction. Ever After was written in 2022, after a viewing of the latest Thor movie in the MCU. It took me 2 years to publish it, becasue I was planning on doing a two-parter, or more accurately, two one-chapter stories, each told from a different point of view. I still might write the second story, but there's no reason why I cannot upload what's already written.

Since we never saw an out-of-sorts, out-of-his-depth Ryo in the manga or the anime, I had to improvise. This and the next few chapters are the result. Hope you don't mind.

I'm busy writing. Have to be, since the story is flowing. Have to keep the momentum. Unfortunately, it's not Homecoming, that one is still acting up. But I went down another City Hunter rabbit hole. For now it looks to be quite a dark story and it's draining to write, but a chapter a day isn't bad. (And yes, I do have an outline.) The story will follow a plot from the manga, but with an added twist. Can't wait.

In chapter 17 of What Men Want, Kaori seeks solace with Mick. Unable to keep it all bottled up, she tells him of her new predicament.

Maybe you noticed, or maybe you didn't. Instead of writing, I've been spending my afternoons creating "book covers" for my City Hunter fanfiction. I'm pissed off at myself and at my writer's block, since I'm only a chapter and a half away from (finally) finishing What Men Want. Fingers crossed, I manage it by the end of next week.

There is a double update today. Two chapters of What Men Want, because they sort of tie into one or the second interrupts the first. I felt it was better to post them together so as not to "disrupt" the flow. In chapter 15 we glimpse yet another dream/fantasy and in chapter 16 Kaori finally realizes she's been tapping into Ryo's dreams, while also tapping into someone else's dark fantasy.

My gosh, how time flies.

Sorry, I've been MIA for so long, I just kinda "relaxed" in the peace and quiet of my new home. Not writing, not even reading, just...zen.

But, as it always happens, something prompted me to start writing again. Or at least start thinking about writing, new plots, and (fingers crossed) finally finishing or at least posting what I've already written and simply put aside.

And that is the newest live-action adaptation of City Hunter available from this weekend on Netflix. If you’ve seen it already, what did you think? And if you haven’t seen it yet, what are you waiting for? I simply loved it. Despite being “translated” into the present, it’s incredibly faithful to the original material. The action scenes are great, the shootouts goosebumpy...Suzuki Ryohei, who plays Saeba, really brought him to life. Sometimes it feels like Ryo stepped out of the pages of the manga. The lightning fast “moodswings” from goofy idiot to cold-blooded sweeper are perfection and he mirrors the original voice actor’s wonderfully.

As I said, I absolutely loved it. Is it any wonder then, that I had to jump back into the City Hunter fanfiction pool once more?

So, for starters, after all this time, is the last chapter of What Goes Around...Comes Around. This has been languishing on my computer since I posted the very first chapter of the story. Yes, it’s been finished, I just didn’t like it.

I still don’t, mind you, but I have to post it, it’s been too long. I wrote the last few paragraphs this morning, because I really didn’t like the open ending of them just leaving Mick.

Everything else I’ve tried to write as an ending just didn’t work, so I’m sticking with this one, hope it doesn’t disappoint.
